Winter Warmer, wine tasting weekend!

Save on heating oil; warm up with wine this Winter!

The wineries of the Berks County Wine Trail, during Saturday January 22 and Sunday January 23 2022, Noon to 5 PM both days, will warm you up from all these cold Winter days with a cozy selection of warming wines paired with hot soups, or other soothing, cozy dishes. Check out the menu of pairings to be featured during our 2020 event at these participating wineries:

  • Deerfoot Winery (Shoemakersville) – 2022 Deerfoot Vineyards and Winery will be serving Bacon Corn Chowder and a warm spiced beverage called Sbiten made using Goblin Alchemy Mead, blackberry jam and spices.
  • Setter Ridge Vineyards (Kutztown) 2022 Winter Warmers – Enjoy warming up with a Cajun Corn Chowder (gluten free & vegan) and then cool down your taste buds with your choice of our dryPinot Gris or our semi-sweet Setter Ridge White.  Recipes will beavailable and wines will be 10% off all weekend long.
  • Stone Barn Cellars (Spring City) 2022 will be serving up a fan favorite Loaded Potato Soup with bacon, sour cream, cheese and chopped tomatoes paired with our 2019 Pinot Grigio. A crisp and citrusy wine pairs excellently with a creamy, salty soup. A perfect dish for the New Year!
  • Stonekeep Meadery & Wine Cellars (Fleetwood) Info to come.
  • Stoudt’s Country Winery (Bernville) Info to come.
  • Lily’s Vineyard – (Reading) – 2022 – January’s Winter Warmer is Warmed Spiced Apple and Warmed Mulled Cherry. We will be pairing the wines with Homemade Chilli.
  • Manatawny Creek Winery (Douglassville) 2022 Raspberry Hot Chocolate made with wine Love, 20% raspberry and 80% grape.
  • Kog Hill Winery (Morgantown) Info to come.
  • Long Trout Winery (Auburn) 2022 french onion soup topped with bacon, mac & cheese.  Wine pairing is Daytripper (black currant wine).
  • Ridgewood Winery 2022 (Birdsboro) and Ridgewood Winery on Daffodil Hill Farm (Bechtelsville) will be offering Grind Restaurant (Boyertown) meatballs with sauce and baked with Monterey Jack cheese, along with Ridgewood Winery’s customer’s favorite Olde Orchard Wine (a blend of white varietal grapes and apples) warmed with a Hot Butter Rum.

This event is free, no reservations required. During your visit, enjoy tastings from many of the wineries’full tasting lists.

Note: several wineries do charge a nominal tasting fee for samplings from their full wine list.
